Tips and Tricks Monday - Stamping on tissue paper and how to tear it

Hello and welcome,
today it's monday again and this day came as "julen på kjerringa" as we say here in Norway LoL.. I've had a bad week where I have spent most of the days on the couch or in bed in very bad shape, so I have not done anything of what I have planned and wanted to do. And Saturday was my birthday, and the whole family came for dinner and cake..... You know the feeling right?

So instead of showing you something I've planned for a while and what's very cool (and as I know some of you have been waiting for),  I just come in and show you a quick  tip on how to get the best result when using stamped motives on tissue paper. How to tear it in the best possible way.

I've made this card and the background is very colourful and textured so I decided to stamp the main subject on  tissue paper, tear it out and paste it on to the card.

And this is my trick:
Use a waterbrush and wet the paper gently around the subject, then it's much easier to tear without tearing up the subject.

The stamp is from Rubber Dance. You can find it here
Hopefully, I'll be a little better the following week, so I can show you the aforementioned cool trick next Monday. Stay tuned!

Tips and Tricks Monday - How to use only a small part of the stamps

Hi and welcome,
today it is Tips and Tricks monday again, yeeh!

I have a lot of stamps (most of them is from Rubber Dance - just because I love them to much), and sometimes you just don't want to use the hole image, just a little bit. And by not using the whole image on the stamp, you can suddenly get a brand new stamp, right? Like this card I've made:

The starting point was this rubber stamp:

I just used my Faber-Castell black pen and colored just the cat and stamped it on my cardstock.

And by the way, I have another tip for you: when the stamps is unmounted (as the Rubber Dance stamps) just use your gluestick to attach the stamp to the acrylic block. When you're done stamping use a babywipe and clean both the stamp and the acrylic block. Easy peasy!

Here is the inside of my card:

Thank you for visiting! I will soon be back.
And next monday there will be a new Tips and Tricks Monday for you.

Ups.. almost forgot; the cat and the sentiment  at the front of my card is from Rubber Dance. You can find them and a lot more in the Rubber Dance online store. When you buy stamps for £15 and more at Rubber Dance remember to use the code AS-FreeShip to get free shiping!

Tips and Tricks Monday - Wonderful and inspiring cards and stickers for the Happy Planner Calendar

Hello and welcome!

Monday morning blues... I had a wonderful weekend!
Especially Saturday because I had four very good girlfriends over, where we chatted and solved all problems in the world, drank delicious wine and ate deer pot (which my husband had made for us).
Such moments are precious. I get very sick after such nights because of my illness, but sometimes I just have to live a little too. I hope you had a wonderful and memorable weekend too.

Today I want to show you a great way to use, for example, the Rubber Dance stamps:

I have extremely much design paper lying around.I have a whole shelf of paper in various colors and patterns, and when I sat looking at my shelf the other day, I thought hmmmm ...... why not? Why not make some cards I can use in my Big Happy Planner?

Instead of buying expensive stickers and cards from the calendar manufacturers, we can make them ourselfs. Right?

You can even use them in other projects such as in art journal, or give them away as small cozy presents along with a box of chocolate or a bottle of wine.

Of course I do not want to use everyone at once over my calendar, I just put them up to show you all I've made :-)

Stamps used in this project is:

All of the stamps I've used on this project you can find in the Rubber Dance online store.
You can of course also use the other stamps that are not text on either, or both. For example, a flower and a nice phrase. Such I want to make now. Now I was actually a little inspired by myself    LoL :-)

I hope I also inspired you a little. Next monday I will come back with another little tips or tricks or both :-)

Thank you so much for visiting!

Be true to you - wall decoration with MixedUp Magazine's Merchandise printables

Hello and welome,
today, October 1th, there is a new issue of Mixed Up Magazine out, and in this number I represent this project where I have used printables from MixedUp Magazine's Merchandise. These are some freebies that is being offered on the Mixed Up Mag blog during October.

The background/fence are ice sticks that my four year old daughter has gathered for me after she has eaten her ice cream.

I have washed them and painted them, first with a slightly darker green color, then I used Tim Holtz crackle paint and on top of that I used a slightly lighter green color.

I have colored the ribbons and the shoes to the girls red and yellow to match the flowers.
And I have used black pen around the people and brown distress ink around the edge of the other elements.I have punched holes in two of the sticks to pull the rope through and hang it up on the wall.

These free printables is so fun! There is a lot of poosibilities. Keep an eye out for them on the Mixed Up Blog during October!

Thank you for visiting.
